Diablo 4 Double Five Piece Set Planning with U4GM
#1

Choosing what to build for Season 16 in Diablo 4 is tricky when familiar damage setups are changing on the 3.3.0 PTR. Before committing resources to Diablo IV Items, Warlock and Rogue players should separate reliable options from promising alternatives that still need testing. The distinction matters most if your existing gear supports a skill affected by the proposed adjustments.

Decide if your Warlock needs a new damage skill

Blazing Scream remains a reasonable starting point for players who already have a setup built around it. The PTR reduces its base damage and the value skulls gain from the skill's original values, while Infernal Homunculus loses another 10 percent. Molok's Beating Flame also receives a substantial reduction, which matters for Volatility setups. These changes make it worth comparing alternatives, but they do not automatically make existing gear useless.

Apocalypse presents a different tradeoff. Its damage per stack is lower, so reaching meaningful damage takes longer, but its maximum increases to 200 stacks. That makes the length of an encounter important: a setup with a strong payoff at high stacks may feel less convincing when enemies die before it can build momentum.

Use your intended activity to guide the first round of comparisons.

Keep Blazing Scream available as a familiar baseline if you already own supporting gear.
Watch how quickly Apocalypse builds damage during the encounters you actually run.
Test Volatility separately if Molok's Beating Flame is central to your setup.

A familiar build can still be the practical choice when an alternative needs several gear changes. Compare performance before replacing pieces that would be difficult to restore.

Give Rampage and Colossus a fair trial

Rampage receives a notable increase in the PTR notes: base damage rises from 192 percent to 288 percent, and Fragment scaling increases from 1.875 times to 2.25 times. Umbral Chains also gains damage, giving Warlocks more reason to examine skills that may have attracted less attention than Blazing Scream.

Abyssal Colossus is another candidate, especially for players interested in a summon-focused setup. The Abyss Paragon node offers stronger damage against Elites and helps generate Dominance on hit, while Fiend of Abaddon improves the Colossus setup. Those benefits address different parts of a build, so evaluate the skill alongside its supporting choices rather than judging the summon alone.

The practical cost is the gear and configuration needed to make a comparison meaningful. If your existing setup is already complete, try changing one major component at a time where possible. That makes it easier to see whether an improvement comes from the skill itself or from the support assembled around it.

Adjust Rogue plans around Ferocity and Imbuement

Rogues face a more direct decision if their build relies on Ferocity. Its stacking value is cut in half on the PTR, affecting Penetrating Shot, Rain of Arrows, and Rapid Fire. The draft estimates that Rain of Arrows can lose roughly 40 to 58 percent depending on which weapon carries the aspect, so that range should be treated as a build-specific estimate rather than a universal result.

Shadow Imbuement offers a different direction. It builds stacks instead of simply refreshing, favoring fast attacks and groups of enemies. Barrage, Flurry, Twisting Blades, and Rapid Fire are all skills worth considering with that change. The Narrow Eye set also lasts eight seconds instead of four, giving players more room to maintain pressure.

Before investing in a Rogue alternative, check which part of your current setup is affected.

Review Ferocity placement before estimating the impact on Rain of Arrows.
Reconsider poison-based Penetrating Shot setups that depend on Eaglehorn.
Try Shadow Imbuement with a fast-hitting skill before rebuilding around it.

Dance of Knives is a comparatively safe option because its key multipliers remain untouched in the notes. Rain of Arrows remains usable, but its reduced damage may make a switch more appealing for players focused on pushing difficult content.

For your next test, compare builds at the same Pit tier and record clear times alongside how consistently each setup handles the encounters. If you are considering Diablo 4 materials for sale, first identify which upgrades are necessary for the build you intend to play. PTR values can still change, so leave room to revise the plan before committing to a full rebuild.
